I am a mature student and as such had a 'life' prior to starting uni and have financial commitments. As such, I supplement my student loan by part time work. However, looking at the length of time I will be in hospitals/community in 3rd year (46 weeks compared to usual 30-37) this will greatly reduce my earning potential. Does SFE make any allowance for this with a larger maintainance loan?

Are you on an NHS funded course?
If so we simply offer a flat rate which is not based on the amount of time you actually spend undertaking the duties required by the course.
