Outside of Oxbridge and the London universities, what are the most renowned places to study life sciences in Europe at masters level? (animal behaviour/zoology)

There are lots of very good and prestigious universities in Europe. I can speak for central Europe and the German speaking world.

In Germany

University of Heidelberg, the German equivalent of Cambridge.
Most universities in Munich are also very good and prestigious.
In Austria where i grew up there are also a few.

The university of Vienna, one the oldest in Europe and very good.
Technical university of Vienna
University of Life sciences and agriculture.
Medical University of Vienna.

Most of these universities offer post graduate courses in English. Undergraduates are usually in German. But some offer undergraduate BScs in English now as well.

If you would like to know anymore, feel free to message me.

I forgot the mention the veterinary university of Vienna as well, they now have MSc programs in English which are right up your street.

The big advantage of Viennese and German universities is they are basically free. But you have to work very hard. I suppose thats the trade off.

Germany: Uni of Veterinary Medicine Hannover (TiHo) - MSc Animal Behaviour
Holland: Wageningen Uni - MSc Animal Sciences

Both courses are taught in English. TiHo is very selective and has high entry requirements
