Hey, I am looking for a part-time job in Norwich while studying at UEA. However, since I am from another country and my uni will have almost one-month long easter break, I was wondering how willing is the average employer to give you around 3 weeks off or so if I was to get back home for the holidays.

    Thanks!

My sister is at your uni and works at the uni bar, and it's a flexible job where she is able to pick her own shifts and goes home on most holidays.

There are jobs that are zero hours contract that allow to just work as and when and you can easily not work for 3 weeks when you want to have a break. Not too sure about other jobs though.

If you're a contracted job then probably not because the employer isn't just going to let you vanish for a month because they'd have to find someone else.

If its casual or zero hours then maybe but even on zero hours the employer might not let you =/

try looking for casual at the uni =)

Ask them. Tell that you can work full time for a week.
