I put in a request on myschedule for Sunday's to be taken off my availability, but I have just found out it has been denied. Should I go in and speak to the shift manager instead? This is my first job and I only started on the 10th December, so could that be a reason why it was denied? I'm only 16 and am at college 3 days a week, work 3 days a week, voluntary work on Sunday mornings, and I have 2/3 assignments every few weeks on top of all that and I'm finding it very hard to balance everything

If you're at college 3 days in the week they most likely get you in on those days, so they could do with you in on sunday and maybe that's why it has been denied

you could ask a manager (not a shift manager as that doesn't mean what you would think) if you could update it to exclude sundays but they can and may say no as you didn't put it in your application and they want you in on sundays

Speak to the manager who does the schedule. They should be able to sort it for you, and possibly explain why it was denied.

Anyone working at Mcdonalds if they aren't a student should just quit and sell a bit of gear or something. Only worth doing that kind of job if you're from Lithuania; the buzz/freedom you get from criminality is miles better than doing 9-5 with dullards/scum.

I think they're just going to give me 2 shifts a week instead of 3 because my schedule for this week and next week is only 2
