Ok might watch it.

I've heard about lower cholesterol etc. but I was interested in specific diseases/conditions it helps in.

There have been studies showing it lowers the risk of heart disease, it reduces the risk of cancer (as red meat and processed meat is classed as carcinogenic) it reduces the risk of osteoporosis as well as many other conditions it generally made me feel happier about myself as I am no longer contributing to animal abuse and a significant factor of greenhouse gas emission
