    Title says it all really.

I know some universities have specific deadlines but when do you think is the time to seriously get my head in gear and send an application?

I've been getting in such a tizz about choosing a course and weighing up pros and cons, checking accommodation prices to see if it's all feasible, etc. that it's delayed me massively. We're almost at the end of January and I've not even sent an application off yet. :/

Make a list of everywhere you want to apply and what their deadlines are and try and get the application ready to send off at least a week before the deadline so you're not in a last minute panic. Applications take time to put together so allow yourself at least a week to get the application together. So ideally you want to start about 2-3 weeks before the deadline.

Depends which Universities you are applying to. Top institutions like LSE and Oxbridge recommend you get your application in as soon as possible; this means before December (the one that just went by).

Offers are usually given out on a rolling basis, so get your PS sorted asap!
