    I am looking to buy a laptop and will be primary be using it for word processing,streaming videos and web browsing

    Specs of laptop
    14 inch full HD IPS panel
    15.6 mm thick (ultrabook)
    4GB ram
    128GB SSD
    Intel Core M processor
    I dont really know if i should get it with the 4GB or 8GB Ram

    The 4GB ram version costs £431 while the 8GB ram version costs £478

    That sounds pretty good overall. Go for the 8GB version though for future proofing. The Core M is a little on the slow side but its compensated for by that SSD and nice display/slim frame. For sub £500, I think thats excellent

    I don't think you need to pay over £800 (sorry GeologyMaths!).

    The HP Pavillion 15 also has 8GB of ram as well as a 7.5 hour battery life.

    HPs in general are pretty reliable laptops. I bought mine when I started uni in 2011 and its lasted me well since so I can definitely recommend. The Pavilion 15 is currently on offer from currys and is only £429.99 which is a steal. Its got all the latest Windows/HP so will be up to date for a while.

    Anyway have a look and see what you think. My friend bought hers from since website last week and it got delivered really quick.
