In specification, for Mathematics Advanced Level, it is allowed to take C1234 M1 and S1. Since M1 and S1 have no A* , how do I get A* even if I got A* in C34?

For an A* I believe you need to average 80+ overall across all those modules with an average of 90 in C3/C4.

Does it mean that no matter how high I got the marks in M1 and S1, the most critical to have A* in overall is to get A* in C34? I mean if I got B in both M1S1 , do I still have a chance to have A* in overall?

For an A* I believe you need to average 80+% overall across all those modules with an average of 90% in C3/C4.

Yes. As long as you have 480/600 UMS with 180 of it coming from C3 and C4. But at least you have UMS bragging rights if you get 90+% in everything .

Yep that's right. Ace C3/C4 with 90% and you can afford some leeway on M1/S1 whilst still ending up with that A*
