Hey, I just wanted to know if there was anybody else out there who was having a pretty miserable time with being on a gap year. If there is, I'd be kinda nice to talk about it and get another persons opinion on it.
Mine was a few years ago now, but like you I found it to be rather dull. My friends were all at college or uni so they were really busy, and I spent so long just focussing on my Jan retakes I didn't organise anything to do after, so I spent around two months just watching TV most of the time until I finally found volunteering. I would recommend trying to get some volunteering- it gives you something to do and that experience could help to get you a paid job.

What type of volunteering did you do and where?

I did some office admin work at the HQ's of a couple of smaller charities. Not the most thrilling stuff but it helped pass the time. Charity shops are also happy to take people on and might be a more practical option if you aren't near London.
