    Hi,

I am starting teacher training in September 2016. I am over 25, living with my partner and wish to apply for a maintenance loan. However, we are going to leave our flat on 1st March and live with parents for a couple of months. We are then going to move back out around April/May and we will be living on our own from then onward.
When is the best time for me to apply for my loan? If I apply when living with my parents, I will be entitled to less money, even though I will be living away during the course.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi lellf.

The application will ask you where you will be living during term. If by the time you study you will be living elsewhere and not with parents then that is what you select.

    Thanks.
