    Hello,

I'm applying for a scheme at one of my chosen universities and would like to explain why I have missed a year of school. During this year, my AS exam entries were withdrawn, this was due to poor grades caused by a mental illness, HOWEVER, when I went to a GP about my 'depression', he did an anxiety questionnaire and described my anxiety as high and suggested to try counselling before moving onto medication like beta blockers etc. He sent a letter to the school to discuss about my self-harming too. A similar thing happened in my real AS year where I had a meltdown prior to my exam from self-harming in the hours prior and then was sent to a minor injuries unit to be checked over.

On this form, I'm not sure how to go about on this because I'm not sure if I was ever fully diagnosed, it was more about suggesting to ring up places, have counselling at particular centres, and nothing really set from my doctor. So on this uni form, I can't say I was diagnosed so what do I say? I'm not too sure?
