Whenever someone in my house talks about something emotional (ie. they may be missing someone etc etc), i just immediatly feel like distancing myself from them - although i do feel it inside.

even if someone says 'i love you' to me i be all like 'whyyyyyy??! did you have to say that'.

is this the same for most other people?

You feel unworthy of love?

people deal with emotion in different ways. Ask yourself if you distance yourself because you find it awkward, or because you dont understand how they're feeling.....? It could be a number of things, but dont worry about it. You're not the only one who deals with emotion in this way

I used to be like this at the beginning of my relationship with my boyfriend. But he'd always talk about how he feels and it was uncomfortable to talk about our fights with him, and apologizing and him saying he's sorry was also horribly embarrassing for me. But somehow at some point I learned to feel and I say "I feel..." a lot more now as well and I'm not afraid to tell him that I miss him, love him etc.

You just have to wait for someone to teach you. It'll be fine.
