    can you please help me in my Inspector Calls,
    The question is:
    How Priestley shows Mrs Birling and Eric Birling changing their attitude and having strong feelings?
    For this I need to know some quotes for both and what they mean.
    If you can help, it will be much appreciated
    Thanks

    I'm sorry I cant offer any quotes (I did AIC 2 years ago). However...
    Mr Birling (and his family) are Capitalist, however, at the end of the play we see that Eric is becoming more socialist (like the inspector is). Eric can see what he and his family have done wrong and how this has contributed to Eva/Daisy's death. He feels a shared sense of responsibility. Even at the end when the family finds out the inspector was a fraud, Eric still knows that what he and his family did to Eva was wrong - he attitudes have changed and he has begun to 'grow up' (as he was childish at the beginning of the play).

    I'm not sure how Mrs Birling's feelings changed in the play (she was rather opinionated all the way through imo )

    try some of these web pages to give you some inspiration ;

    I seem to remember using bitesize for this as well.

    I'd copy you my whole y11 English book if I could find it, My teacher was very thorough in that we had many notes/practise essays. Still, I hope this helps you
