walking is good for one's health.

Oh ffs, it's not 2 hours at once, and you don't have to come back for meals if you're really that lazy. It's only about 20 minutes to the science site anyway. Hild Bede rocks and no one I know gives a damn about the extra 5-10 minutes scientists have to walk each way.

At least at the end of it, you are walking back down the hill as opposed to up it

And the walk over the river is really pretty.
Hild bede to science site is 20 mins max. I have done that for nearly two years, it really isn't that bad.

no - I have done it in just under 20 minutes. Depends on your pace of course:wink:

And where you are in Hild Bede. Christopher is as far away as you can get!

This is the reason why I chose Hatfield ! (Not like it's that close anyways.)
Someone was exaggerating...

People only say Hild Bede is miles away because it's 'on the other side of Durham' to the other colleges...but Durham is so small that it barely matters.
Exactly, its about 5 minutes further than any bailey college from the science site and it is much closer to town than all the hill colleges.

The Science site is all about Mary's. Or Grey...
Reply 13
Yeah, but then Mary's or Grey are, dare I say it, BUTT UGLY!
Reply 14
They're not  they have some of the nicest grounds in the whole of Durham. If anything, the bailey colleges are all stoney and cobbley with no grass or trees...ergh...though Hatfield is probably the prettiest out of them.

Hild Bede has a mixture of grass, trees (and a pond), historic nice buildings, an art deco chapel and some nice 1960s architecture as well to round it off! Something for everyone.

Mary's Ferguson building is pretty good looking. Though Williamson isn't. It is probably the nicest college on the hill to look at.

Who exactly is the 1960s architecture for?

Dining room, bar, hall with stage. The Undercroft (an underground venue used for alternative music nights). Balls are held there too.

Takes me bout 8 - 15 mins from refounders. so id guess 13-20 mins from Hilde bede
