I found the other day too, was it Saturday? It suddenly came on. My Dad got me some tablets, but they didn't really help until about 6 hours later, so yeah.

In addition, I think they only ever gave people that if they had REALLY bad hayfever because they're steroid based or some such.

Go to a pharmacy and see if you can get something for it, otherwise you'll just have to put up with it I'm affraid. You might want to try a couple of different medications because some of them make certain people really drowsy.
Hayfever sucks, i get mine every year as soon as it turns April, like clockwork! Take the tablets just before you go to bed so when you wake up you're covered, the worst times for hayfever are in the morning and about 6pm in the evening. Works for me, just make sure you have tablets at all times in your wallet or purse.

Oh Yeah, get them from Boots, they are the only place that does a Buy one Get One Free for tablets for hayfever. At Β£2.50 for 7 damm tablets. its worth getting the deal

Make sure you get non-drowsy tablets & remember to take it every day so that it'll keep on working...hay fever sucks, especially during the exam period!

And if the tablets from the pharmacy aren't strong enough, go see if your doctor can prescribe something stronger. You can get a nasal spray & I think eyedrops as well, but I've found the tablets to be enough for me.
Only recently in the past few years that I have started to have symptoms of hayfever! The itchy eyes n irritation of the nose and sneezing!!

So hayfever can start @ anytime in your life then?

GD
I don't get any treatment for mine cos I've never had it tested to see if it is actual hayfever or if I'm just being a complete hypochondriac. I've had it for the last 4 years though every May/June without fail. What idiot decided to put the exams right in the middle of the hayfever season??

I saw that today, but i got the boots own brand ones, they're like 99p for 7, so cheaper even with the half price thing.

Thinking about it now, i remember when i saw the college nurse at the start of the year she said dont buy allergy tablets from boots because they'll give you them for free a the university health centre place. (does anybody know if thats true, or am i just making that up?)

But anyway allergy tablets are the way to go, they completely cure my symptoms, they have no side effects and you can apparently get them free. Id hate for hayfever to ruin my summer.
