# Edexcel Unit 5 (IAL): Physics from Creation to Collapse, 21 January 2016 watch

1. I couldn't find any thread on unit 5 so I created one. If there is another please link it to me , I will delete this!!

How did you guys find the exam? ! Mine wasn't good !
2. It was a weird paper -_-
3. There was a question based on the gravitational field felt by the hubble space telescope. I accidentally used the wrong value for the mass of the earth. Were we supposed to know the mass of the earth or use a different method? I used g=Gm/r^2.

And for the meat question my final answer was something around 4.2. Anyone else got the same answer?

Awful paper :'(

Ya the meat question I also got 4.2 , but I couldnt do the hubble space telescope question , tried different things but still couldnt get it !!
5. I used the value of g on earth 9.81 to find GM in GM/r^2. I got something like 3.968 * 10^14. I used it everywhere else.
6. I think we had to use the formula GM/r^2 = 9.81, which is the magnitude of the gravitational field strength at the surface of the earth. They give you the value for G on the data sheet and the value of r is given..we find M which is the mass of the earth and then we use it on the other formula
