    Hi all,

    Finished uni last year.

Finally treated myself to a new laptop. I need Microsoft office for messing with my CV, excel etc.

Anyone have any ideas where I can pick it up for a (reasonable) price ? It seems to have gone all weird now, I don't want a month contract ffs!

Or are any of the free alternatives libre ofice / open office any good? I have no idea about any of them and have never used them.

    Thanks in advance!

You should be able to transfer your license from your old computer to your new one. You'll need to deactivate your license on the old computer and validate it on the new one. For this, you'll need the product key for the software.

Can you still log in to your university portal with your uni email address? If so, Microsoft Office for students is a great price, £59.99 for 4 years.

LibreOffice, OxygenOffice etc are good freeware to use. If you really insist on using Microsoft software, you should be able to access Word/Excel etc online for a 'lite' version.
