Due to large disagreements in the running of/runner of the CC, I am hereby resigning as the Crisis Committee Rep for the Conservative Party.

I am sure you will all agree with me that our replacement will do an excellent job and that with him there, the Crisis Committee may be great for once.

    *drumroll*
Your new Conservative Party CC Rep is...

Just doing a check on membership as there will be some votes coming up in the CC.

UKIP and the Greens are both entitled (and arguably constitutionally required) to name a representative (who cannot be the party leader) and are yet to do so.

Danny Dorito Fox Corner Queen Cersei
Can one of you please remove Airmed from the Crisis Committee usergroup as I am apparently unable to do so? She has now been replaced as the Liberal representative I believe.
(PetrosAC Please correct me if I'm wrong here.)

The member can be a Leader of a Party (I'm the Liberal Rep and I believe UU is the UKIP rep). I've checked both the MHoC Guidance Document and Constitution as well as the CC Constitution (which shouldn't be binding anyway) and there's nothing on that.

Airmed is no longer the Liberal Rep so she can be removed

I didn't think parties were obliged to submit representatives?

If TSR UKIP does not have a representative, I would like to do the job; the Crisis Committee is easier to destroy from the inside.

The CC Constitution does state that (see spoiler) but I will accept the supremacy of the MHoC GD and Constitution as permitting it if leaders desperately wish so.

    Spoiler:

4: Members must be appointed after a general election and as and when required during terms by their parties but cannot be party leaders.

It's debatable as to whether the part in the MHoC Constitution states that the CC must have at least one representative from each party.

In all fairness, that was literally inserted to try and stop UU from destroying the CC from the inside. I'm glad you're accepting the supremacy of the MHoC GD and Constitution

It really isn't, unless we can get somebody sensible as chair.

I would stand to be chair if there were enough cronies on my side to elect me.

Well it's probably about time I announced my intention to resign as Chair, I've been planning it for a while but I thought I'd stay on to captain it past the abolition amendments, and to make sure the committee got off to a good start this term. It's been an interesting experience, to say the least, but a challenging job and I hope the CC carries on without me.

I hereby resign as Chair and as rep for the Socialist Party. My replacement will be announced soon.

You're announcing it like it has nothing to do with the amendment to, among other things, remove you, which makes me a bit confused. I thought you were asking us to postpone the amendment, presumably because you didn't want to be removed (or resign).

That's because it doesn't have anything to do with said amendment. As I've said, I'd been planning it for a while. I was going to resign at the end of the last parliament but then there was the CC amendment to abolish it.

The amendment I opposed on a matter of logic, not self-interest.

The CC shouldn't attempt to control what departments a government deems worthy of simulating.

But if you want 'immediate legislative action' then you are welcome to have it. The government listens.

PetrosAC What have you got against the Andrew Marr show? Politicians comment on day-to-day issues in that fashion all the time.
