    Hello,

I got an offer from the University of Exeter today, however it says for International Relations (L250), yet I wanted to do Politics and International Relations, (L292).

I accidentally applied for the wrong course some weeks ago. After phoning the university about how to change my course, they told me to email their admissions and I did so twice.

I have received no responses and plan on emailing a third time. I am really happy I got the offer though, Exeter is my top university, but I fear that maybe they won't allow me an offer for Politics and International Relations, despite my CV mentioning Politics and International Relations and not just International Relations.

Both courses have the same entry reuirements, however I am scared Politics and International Relations may be slightly more competitive. I don't really know, but that is definitely a fear.

Alternatively, UCAS track may not have updated any errors, because I only found out about my offer because of UCAS track telling me they had given me an offer.

I don't really know. Does anyone have any advice for what I should do?

Best case scenario: they let you transfer.

Alternative scenario : the other course is currently full so you just transfer when you get to the Uni

Worst case: they take you out of consideration for your current course and reexamine your application for the other course. You get rejected and you suddenly don't have a place at the Uni.

Idk if the worst case ever happens.

Depends how the uni does things. Don't spam them with emails though. It won't speed things up. But if you're going to email them again, specify that if there's (currently) no room on the other course then they should keep you on the one you're placed on for now.

But i doubt that you'll have any problems

Don't email. Phone. Tomorrow first thing.

Get the name and job title of the person you speak to and ask them to confirm that your earlier emails have arrived.
