I'm looking at flats that are 3 bedroom and around £50-80 rent pppw. I was just wondering if anybody can give me a list of bills that need to be paid when you are a student renting from a private landlord and how much they are likely to cost?

    You'll need to pay:
    -water
    -gas
    -electric
    -internet
    -tv license

You didn't say if you are all students which you probably all are, but if any of you aren't a student the property will also be liable for council tax.

it's hard to give an estimate on how much bills will cost you all each, as things for example like water rates are largely determined by area. Gas and electric will be determined by the type of central and water heating systems in the house and how often you keep things switched on as well as the energy rating of machines in the house and the house itself. Your potential landlord however will likely have a good idea of how much bills for that property will be.
