I'm nearly halfway through my first year at uni and if im honest i like the course but i feel lonley kinda. I commute from home so I feel like I'm missing out on so much of uni life, I have joined societys but like ive made friends there but i dont really talk to them out of uni. I have autism and whilst i was at college it didnt effect me socilally but for some reason at uni its hit me in force. Its like sometimes i just dont know what to say and i shy away from crowds. Next year i want to move into halls because i want some of the exeprience that students get but im not sure if thats the right thing, cause i just fear that im gonna get intemidated by someone and hid away like i tend to do when i feel uneasy

Moving into halls is probably a good idea. It's the easiest way to meet new people and keep in contact. Uni is scary so don't worry, I think what you're feeling is probably quite common. Just keep going and good luck!
