what caused the big bang? Did it just decide to happen randomly out of its own accord which just so happened to lead to flourishing life on earth? seems legit.

Can you genuinely understand why and how it happened? Can you prove that it really, really happened? For all we know, you just assume TBBT is true (in other words — you believe in it) because it was taught to you as the only factual explanation. But facts, like holy scriptures, are also constructed by people, so...
