    Hi,

    I under performed at GCSE 4a's 6b's 2'cs and D (chemistry)

However my AS mocks where 4A's.

Are top unis automatically going to reject? What unis do not place much emphasis on them?

Outside of certain courses, there are no universities that are going to auto-reject you - though some certainly care more about GCSEs than others. I only passed 3 GCSEs and received offers from Exeter, Warwick and York and was interviewed at Cambridge. The important thing to do, if you under-performed at GCSE, is to show an upward trajectory which you are doing. Ultimately, you cannot change your GCSEs now so focus on doing as well as you can in your current studies and ensure you apply to courses with a range of requirements.

4As and 6Bs will get you into nearly every uni other than possibly doing medicine. Places like Bath, Exeter, Warwick, Birmingham, Nlottingham etc will all accept those provided your predicted A levels are good enough. The only real issue regarding GCSE grades is your English Language and Maths grades. Some unis require Bs and for very few As. Generally if you are looking for science type courses they might want a B in GCSE Maths

Almost exact to you with GCSE and AS and got offers from UCL, Durham, RHUL & interview at Oxford.

Just ace everything else like PS and you'll be fine.
