    I want to apply for Economics next year at UCL and their conditions are A*AA (A* in maths). Will i get accepted if I get AA*A* (A* in my other subject but not in maths)?

    It honestly depends on the demographics and your application as a whole. You could easily email them to ask whether there could be a possibility.

    No, you won't get in if you don't have an A* in maths.

    By demographics I was referring to the number of people who are applying for the said course and actually meet the requirement.

    I suspect not, sorry.

    An answer to a related FAQ is

    A: Applicants who are not likely to achieve a grade A* in A Level Mathematics are advised not to apply as it is an entrance requirement and mathematics plays an important part in the course.
    They really want candidates who are capable of achieving that A* in mathematics.
