Gahhh. So I know there are heaps of threads that are about things like this, but I really needed specific advice on this.

One of my friends whom I consider to be close to has been acting sort of distant since coming back from the Christmas holidays. He told me that he would miss me over the break and miss our conversations, but now that we're back, he hasn't texted me much at all, and he barely talks to me, and if he does, it's because I strike up the conversation.
I do realise that we are taking exams, however it just seems odd to me that he has stopped communicating with me.
I actually asked him about it a couple of days ago and he said 'oh, y'know, exams and stuff' but that answer didn't satisfy me. He's not cold or mean to me when I talk to him, but he doesn't try to keep the conversation going and his usual sarcastic comments are gone. So the issue is, I want to talk to my friend again, but I don't want to keep annoying him and asking him what's up. Why is he acting like this? And should I just wait this out?

    Thank you!

If I were you I'd say 'let me know when you've finished exams ' and leave it at that. From what you've said it's not clear why he'd act like that.
