Guys - hungry mood swings?

Ok, so, my boyfriend seems to have stropping mood swings when he's hungry. He gets really irritable and sometimes refuses to speak to me because I'll start bugging him repeatedly asking what's wrong then...he's normal after he's eaten...but I've never seen any other guy do it. I know his dad's the same..so maybe it's genetic?? :confused:

Haha! So I guess I was wondering if any other guys get this or if any other girls have to put with this? (as it can be VERY annoying)

lol my girlfriend would love this thread.

I have a hunger cycle every 3hours. I actually get a bit funny and continunally moan if i dont eat. Once I've eaten, yes I'm my loveable self again.

Its a male thing!!!

All guys get like this.

Just remember that guys are pretty much hungry all the time so when they get really hungry they get grumpy...especially as it means we have to leave the TV remote in the hands of someone else! :eek:

Hehehe. But seriously, like really crazy mad?! Sometimes I think my boyfriend's going mental, and he just swears and is really horrible, and he doesn't even say he's hungry, he'll just be in a mood. Then he'll eat, and be nice again...

lol i dont go crazy but remember our bodies need food to function properly. Missing out on certain aspects of food, i guess could affect the way you act, but not to make you go crazy and shout.

Why not carry a Mars bar in your hand bag just in case at all times? lol

its not just guys I do it too, if im hungry then i dont feel well and if i dont feel well the last thing i want is people asking if im ok or whats wrong. He is prob more annoyed by your constant questions than you are by him if you were that bothered then you could have made him something to eat - you said it happens often so be prepared for it

That's a bit much...i think you need to tell him to stop taking it out on you!

I am not going to deny i don't get into a mood but a tantrum and swearing at your gf is very different.

I've actually spoken to him about it quite a bit now and I think he's learnt to control it more or less... :smile:

I was just wondering if this was a common guy thing or just a, I picked the weird hungry mood swing one... hehe! Thanks :smile:

Could be low blood sugar if he hasn't eaten for a while - I'm diabetic but think normal people can still get low blood sugar.... I get really moody and aggressive when I'm low and swear at my mother. She usually asks if I'm ok and I'll shout at her to **** off lol Can't help it, get so irritable!

Hehe, could be..I think he's generally just someone who's really easily annoyed! We drove around for 4 hours with my friends 'cos we couldn't find a campsite a few weeks back when we were meant to be going camping and he was just really angry....but I think that was 'cos he was desperate for the toilet AND hungry!

It's not just guys though :p:

Some of my female friends get quite moody when they're hungry. And I am generally not in the best mood when hungry either... :p:

No big mood swings though...

My boyfriend can be stroppy when his hungery and he will snap then apologise and tell me his hugery.

But then again he ended up sharing a mum's night out bucket with my brother once!!!! I was disgraced at the two of them! This was on the way home before dinner aswell which my mum had prepared for the 3 of us!

My boyfriend is like this as well.
The more hungry he gets, the more severe the strop. It gets to the point where he gets so snappy, touchy about everything and argumentative that I feel like shoving a bagel down his throat.

The moment he eats something he's back to his usual self and apologises for acting like a pratt.

Thought I was alone with this. Haha!
