Hi I have to decide my a levels really soon but I'm not too sure what to take. I want to hopefully study biomedical science and go into medical research.
My grades are quite good so I'm looking to apply at higher universities.

I want to take biology, chemistry, French and art.
I want to take French because hopefully I can do do a dual degree with a language (I know at Imperial College you can do it).
Art would be more of a less academic subject but rather something I would enjoy a lot.

My main question is are these okay? Will I need maths or is art okay?

For most universities, you won't need maths. I'd say that French would be easier than art in terms of time management, but as long as you have chemistry and biology, you'll be a good candidate for most universities. Only a few ask for 3 sciences or 2 sciences and maths

Maths is preferred but not completely necessary. Biology and chemistry are the main ones that you usually are required to have.
There is no biomedical science with French at imperial. There is biomedical science with management and also biological science with French though.
