Hi so basically I'm in year 9 and just got my options.I want to do things
like German, history, geography and triple science but will this be too much work? I didn't enjoy science or history until year 9 so should I even be doing it? Please help on career paths from this thanks...
i was in the same position as you last year don't worry about triple if you're willing to put the work in you'll be fine and with history i didn't enjoy it much either but ended up taking it because my sister did, and i still wonder if i would've preferred geography, but what we're studying isn't terrible. Career paths is something you'll need to figure out yourself unfortunately, i know it can be hard but pick stuff you're good at or that you enjoy and you'll be okay, for now, in year 11 you'll need to worry about career paths and all that stuff, good luck, don't get stressed and cry about it like i did - chill out

you could type in the courses you are considering for example in history we're studying crime and punishment through time but it's probably best to ask your teachers as you won't really know till ur in the lesson plus our school let us change it as we had a weeks trial.
Its not that triple science is hard the content is just heavier for me my strongest is chemistry A*s physics B+ and then biology b- Your teacher should go through all the content so don't worry

To be frank, you do not need to consider how your gcses or A levels choces affect your chosen career paths. I admire how you chose gcses that you enjoy and find that they are pretty good choices. However you may need to do excellent in both gcses and A levels to be considered in good/top universites. Im in year 9 too and i understand the confusion of picking the best subjects so i spent a whole month researching and accumalating information to satisfy my curiosity.

You asked whether they'd be too hard. Stop for a minute and think about you and your learning pattern and your organisation skills. I have picked this exact GCSE combinations but I'd like to be a teacher. The reason I confirmed them, is because I know I'll be able to revise for them and I've read the GCSE Specs for each option via their website. It MAY be worth talking to someone who has done these subjects and succeeded (although even if they haven't you can find out why). The GCSE's are changing so think wisely before making a final decision.

    Hope I helped,

Also, in a few years you may change your career. These GCSE's are known as the EBacc. They are really good for every career.
