    Yh always get a towel and a bottle of water obviously and if ur just starting out and have never been to the gym before your muscles might be a bit rusty so it's best not to lift too much. Also before every workout make sure to stretch and do light warmup exercises to prepare your body

    If it's weight training then practice your form first with good range of motion and then start worrying about how heavy you are lifting. If it's yoga then make sure your leggings are as tight as possible.

    Control the weight, don't let the weight control you.

    If you're struggling to lift it with decent form, chances are it's way to heavy

    If you're grinding out reps, then it is too heavy IMO. You should only be grinding out the last couple of reps.
