Welcome to the OCR Gateway Biology B or OCR Gateway Additional Science B or OCR Gateway Core Science B for students still in Year 10.

    Remember:
    Spoiler:
    Show
This thread can also be used as an useful resource for anyone in Year 10 who are going to take their final exams in 2017 as that is the final year for the current GCSEs. This thread will still be available and it'll be the exact same specification - so feel free to recommend it to your friends!
Also, start revising now to get the best grades or else you might regret it.
This can be a great place to ask for help during revision for upcoming mock and real exams and also to share resources for revision.

    Exam Dates:
    Spoiler:
    Show
    Biology (Triple Science) - B1, B2, B3 - 25th May 2016
    Biology (Triple Science) - B4, B5, B6 - 17th June 2016

    Additional Science - B3, C3, P3 - Wednesday 15th June 2016
    Additional Science - B4, C4, P4 - Friday 17th June 2016

    (Core) Science - B1, C1, P1 - Wednesday 25th May 2016
    (Core) Science - B2, C2, P2 - Friday 10th June 2016
If you have any questions regarding the exams or the controlled assessment, feel free to post them here. In terms of controlled assessment, do not post questions regarding your controlled assessment topic or help, they will not be answered as that is encouraging cheating which is against the rules of TSR. However, if you have any questions regarding the UMS conversion or grade boundaries etc. or if you feel you done badly on your controlled assessment and want to know how many marks you need in your final exams to secure a certain grade - then feel free to ask!

All the TSR rules must be followed on this thread and no abusive language should be shown on this thread to other members.

    Aim of the thread:
    Spoiler:

The aim of this thread is to get as many questions as possible - asked and answered - by members of the forum.
Please be specific when you are asking a question in this thread so that people are aware of what module it is on.
I will be creating a spoiler for each module and adding the questions and answers to each question asked so that people can look at them as a source of revision.
Remember: You can also refer to past-paper questions and ask for help on those too.

    Module: B1
    Topic: Fitness and Health
Question: What are the consequences of high blood pressure and how could it affect the brain and the kidney?
If your question is simply just about marks or conversion, then just ask the question as it follows no format.

For controlled assessment related questions, please mention your qualification before asking the question as different qualifications have different CAs.
One thing that I've recognized is that all the OCR Gateway B (Physics, Biology and Chemistry) Part 3 questions are the exact same every year for each controlled assessment. It is just the last question (Q6) which is different and random. So, if you require help on how to answer the questions for the Part 3 booklets - feel free to ask.

No one replied to this thread, quite a shame. If people had shared resources, worked together - this thread would've been a stunner.
