    Hello All,

I have a little question with informing car insurance companies about car modifications

I have just brought a Mini C S, its a 2009 model which when it was out you was able to upgrade the alloys and windows and loads of extras with the car configurator online.

Well my car has black alloys, they are the standard mini rims they are just painted by mini themselves, this is a genuine upgrade done by mini at the time of purchase and was not done by a third party.

My question is will i need to tell my insurance about these alloys, I'm thinking surly not .... considering they are from new.

    Thank you for any help

If the alloys were supplied with the car from new by the manufacturer then I wouldn't bother, especially if the only difference between them and the standard ones is the colour.
