Contact Lenses....

I need some new ones basically! Haven't worn any for ages, but want to but some daily disposible ones.

My eyesight has deteriorated since I last wore them. How do I know what strength to get going on my glasses prescription?

And does anyone know where I can get them cheap?

vision express

get the acuvue moist ones, I have them, and if your like me and wear them all the time they are fantastic. You're not meant to but you can sleep in them and be fine up to a few hours after you wake up. Perfect for a drunkenly collapsing in bed and forgetting to take them out.
Go to your opticians. Specsavers are the cheapest for me. I get 10 pairs for £8 and they are daily disposables. So for a months worth its £24, thats alot cheaper than my previous opticians who were ripping me off with £30 a month!

I agree. Go to the opticians, cos your prescription might have changed, and anyway, contact lens prescriptions are different from glasses prescriptions because the lens of the glasses is further away from your eye and so needs to refract the light differently.

And I've got 1 day acuvue moist, and they're fantastic.
Yep I think I get the acuvue ones too, from Vision Express. Grr the only thing I hate about them though is how they are complete contact lens despots and unless you have some stupid aftercare every six months in which nothing ever changes they refuse to give you your next batch, even if (like me) you're pratically blind without contacts. Grr

But yes, I used to have monthlies and because I'm very clumsy I kept breaking them and losing them. Disposables are great because you just peel em out and chuck them away rather than poncing around with cleaners. Sometimes I forget that I actually have rubbish eyesight because I wear my contacts all the time :p:
MikeyB!

You'll need a contact lens appointment so they can give you your new perscription as your contact lenses perscription isn't as strong as your glasses one due to the fact they sit on your eye, whereas the glasses are further away so need to magnify more.
I want to buy light brown contacts =(

Don't really understand why you quoted me to say that!

Do you just want them for fun? If so then you can get just coloured ones with no perscription. However if you also need them to see better with then you'll need to go to your optician.

You need to get your eyes tested and they won't sell them to you unless you do, and they are a ripoff wherever you get them. Unless you know of some kind of contact lens black market.
