The Student Room Group
Yeah good question, anyone of the current students know?

Football would definitely have to be on the agenda if i get into Kent.
Erm, a bit off topic, but didnt fancy starting a new thread over it. Still a sporting topic.
Is there any semi ok surfing locations. I mean im far from pro, but if there was somewhere i could go and do a bit once in a while that'd be ace. I've heard Ramsgate may have a bit'o surf once in a while? And a rumour that there's a surf society?

Sorry for the hi-jacking lads.

Basically, if you go to www.busa.org.uk you can find out how the kent teams are getting on.

There are three Kent teams which compete in the BUSA league, and then each college (inc Parkwood) has two teams which compete against eachother in the inter-college league.

Edit- Oh and there is a surf society, but i'm afraid i don't know much about it.

There is the university of kent football team, with 1sts, 2nds and 3rd teams. Then beneath this is the college footy teams. e.g darwin, rutherford, elliot, keynes and parkwood each have teams.

the 1sts football team are good and hardest to get into. Competent first year footballers would start off in the 3rds normally, or in a college team.

the footballers are such a little clique tho. half of them are knobs. be a proper man and join the rugby teams

The college teams play against each other, and so u only play within the uni. thats not so competitive, its jus for fun really. they have mini leagues against the 4 colleges on campus.

if u work at one of the campus bars , they normally have a footy team. and also alot of boys set up 5 a sides. ud easily find pepoel to play with!
cool, ill have to set up a five a side team, any takers? :P
I want to get back into playing football, I haven't played properly since I was in year 6 when I played for the school team, which is like 8 years ago! Stopped playing when I got into secondary school as I didn't like the people who played in the school team, plus my mates didn't like football.

Will have to get fit over the summer so I can at least play for 5 minutes.
