    Hi all,

I have recently been accepted onto the Masters in Classics at Exeter and Edinburgh. Exeter's Classics course ranks THIRD in the country (second only to Oxford and Cambridge), and Edinburgh's is NINETH. I would like a career as a Classics lecturer, and wanted to know whether the rankings actually count. I love Edinburgh, but don't want to pass up a good opportunity. Exeter has an amazing reputation in research, but actually ranks lower than Edinburgh in the World University Rankings. Does this matter? Would you be more inclined to follow UK rankings rather than World Rankings?

Thanks for any advice in advance.
