I made a blog about my music and it's dead AF and I have no motivation to continue it let alone start a new one. :colonhash: I would start a new one but it would just me bitching about school and papers

Well today has been moderatly productive! School was incredibly tiring with 6 lessons, including triple biology, but overall most of it was interesting. Double politics was fun because we did a quiz and then discussed PM leadership styles. Mechanics was good because I'm one of the top in my class so I was just doing review exercises to consolidate on the chapters I've done. Triple biology was even okay, we did some haemoglobin stuff and dissociation curves. In the last lesson we did our 4th required practical, fingers crossed I passed lmao.

Got two marks back - politics essay got a decent 85% and my M1 pulley assignment got 95%!

When I eventually got home I did a C1 paper (jan 2005) and it was dismal. 63/75, a whole 7 marks were lost because I didn't read the question or because of simple arithmetic error. Not good. Then did some C2 stuff to recap binomial expansion, nothing too taxing.

Lastly I finally applied for the PwC work experience for the summer. I really do hope i get it because I was gutted I got onto the HSBC last year but couldn't do it because of the dates. Luckily I know I'm free this time! Shoutout to @Princepieman for helping me with my application!

How do you keep your sanity counting down the days?
OP, Considered aiming for an A* in maths for the bragging points?
Edit: Just realised you're doing AS. Don't let your AS predictions hinder you :h:. I exceeded my B/C ones.

School was pretty meh. First lesson was politics, which was a debate but it wasn't really engrossing topics... Then it was History which was good because we were learning about anti-semitism in Fascist Italy. Finally we had double politics where we studied Labour - although I don't agree with them, still interesting especially the profession from the more socialist ideology to 'new Labour'.

When I got home I did some biology homework for Friday, then made some neat Biology notes for the summer. Pretty chuffed because I condensed 20 pages into 5! Afterwards I made a Biology practice paper for the summer using some past paper questions - because we only a have a few specimen papers to use :'(

I'd rate today a solid 6/10

So school was pretty good today. In double history we were preparing for a debate on whether Weimar Germany was doomed to fail and then in Italy we did a long quiz! I was pretty impressed by the fact that I could remember so many obscure things from the beginning of the year! Double maths was fun with stationary points and double differentiation to find out whether the point was maximum/minimum - not difficult at all! Looking forward to finishing the chapter though and getting through logs and trigonometry stuff because I know it's going to be nasty.

Got one piece of work back, a C2 circles assignment - 100%

I also have been permitted to do AS FM in Y13 and the choice of doing A2 FM will come from my results at the end of this year and urge to drop two AS subjects.

When I got home I did some more biology notes, and they are lovely! Clear, detailed and concise - perfect for when exams come around. Quickly ploughed through my M1 assignment on momentum, again pretty easy stuff and I remembered most of it from GCSE additional physics! Lastly I submitted my thrilling EPQ proposal on whether or not economically it is a good idea for the UK to leave the EU.

Tip top day and I just hope I sleep like a baby.

Keep it up  it looks like you're not going in circles and you are building up momentum (sorry :getmecoat:)

And great news about the AS/A2 FM

Nothing really eventful happened at school, I got a Biology test back and I got an A! Just scrapped it though so I might need to do some extra work to secure that. Slightly negatively though I got a politics essay back and got a C (16/25), luckily everyone didn't do too well so we're having to spend a whole lesson going through it and rewriting it.

When I got home I had a nap and watched a film, and then completed a C1 paper! I got 100%!!!! :dancing2:

That was the only thing because I went out for dinner with some friends for one of my best friend's birthday!

30/01/2016 - 109 days to go!
Did nothing because I was out all day doing some shopping. However I noticed someone doing some M3 stuff next to me in a cafe, its presence scared me.

Did my binomial expansion assignment as well as some prep for a history debate. Wrote some more notes for my special biology revision guide, pretty happy that I'm keeping that up! Also did some maths revision - C2 circles and M1 pulleys. I feel like I'm going to do sh*t in the tests tomorrow but on the plus side at least my teachers know where to help.

Nothing really major happened at school. Double maths was hideous, 90% sure I f*cked both tests up - here come my first C grades in maths :frown:. The history debate was okay I guess, our argument didn't win but that's because we all agreed that the opposition were correct.

Got two grades back - 95% on my C2 algebra test and 85% on an Italy essay for history!

At home I did some more neat biology notes and my biology homework for tomorrow. Watched a documentary on 'the road to Treblinka' but I couldn't see the translations of what the people were saying because the formatting of the video was iffy. Might just sit and watch some maths videos until I fall asleep.

Meh day tbh...

School was long and tiresome, as is every Tuesday with 6 lessons... double politics was alright with a debate, mechanics was bad and triple biology was okay. In biology we did a two hour dissection of the heart which was interesting and then we started the genetics topic.

Got on grade back today, a D in my M1 pulley test - the first grade below a B in maths since Y9. I am bitterly disappointed with myself and it wasn't a lack of understanding it was one stupid f*cking error (I squared instead of square rooted) and the remainder of my answer was wrong. It kicked me up the ars* though because that's still no excuse, the more practice I do the better I should do.

When I got home I didn't do very much, I did some more biology revision and some politics homework. I cannot stomach maths today, so I'll do that tomorrow. Also have to write up a personal statement for UNIQ - I know I'm not going to get it, but it's worth a shot.

Wednesdays are my favourite days because I don't have any lessons until midday although I still have to be in school for 8.45. Hmph. We had a presentation on the EPQ and I've decided I am going to go for it, just need to polish my proposal and I'll submit it on Friday. History was fun, we watched a documentary on the Nazis and then double politics was a look at the lib dems and whether they have abandoned Liberalism (they haven't).

Didn't get any work back.

At home I did some biology revision, was quite boring and then I did some history homework researching ways the Nazis controlled the population. Informers were bad, selfish people. It could have been more productive, however I got my hour of revision in and completed some homework so honestly I'm quite happy.

In history we were learning about consent to the FRG and denazification which IMO is really interesting, our Italy lesson was cancelled because the teacher was ill - cannot complain. Double maths was slow and boring, applications of differentiation. I mean I didn't find it difficult, it just wasn't too thrilling.

Got the C2 circles test back and got a C - was expecting that, however I know which bits I need to improve on so I'll be able to salvage that. Also got my C2 binomial expansion assignment back, 100% along with another C1 past paper which got 73/75!

At home I did some more differentiation exercises along with biology and politics homework. Wow these are boring.

School was tip top as double biology was cancelled and the lesson we did have was really interesting! It was about genetics and was consolidation of the tuesday work which I was glad about because I didn't have a clue lmao. Politics was awful because I was just being roasted...

Don't recall getting any work back.

At home I slept and did a C1 paper, got 65/75 which wasn't too bad I lost 5 marks from stupid mistakes (which have been corrected easily!) and the only bit I struggled on was the last part to the last question.

ALSO HOW COULD I FORGET THAT I GOT MY EXAM TIMETABLE TODAY!!!

06/02/2016 - 102 days to go!
TODAY HAS BEEN REALLY PRODUCTIVE, PROBABLY THE MOST PRODUCTIVE DAY OF SIXTH FORM!

To begin with I did all my history homework which was research on Mussolini's foreign policy and methods on how the Nazis controlled Germans and to what extent their support was for the Nazis. Then I did some M1 stuff - I can now do all the really difficult questions on F=MA, for example when the force is applied at an angle. Then I self taught some statics which was pretty simple, finishing up on pulleys! I feel much more comfortable with general pulley questions and I can get most of the marks on the really difficult last parts, for example when finding the time between when the string is slack to it being taught again. Pretty chuffed with today's M1 work.

Then I did some politics research, sadly it was nothing interesting. After I went back through my C1 paper from yesterday and fixed my stupid mistakes, nothing too bad. I also did the question I was unable to do, and I feel so stupid for forgetting how to do it!! It was finding the coordinates when you know the gradient value. D'oh, at least it's been engraved on my brain now.

Later I completed my biology work, which was really interesting and was about the heart and giving advice for people on whether they should quit smoking or change their lifestyle to reduce risk of heart attack. The best part was explaining why it would reduce the risk, ahh I'm such a nerd.

Finished up with some C2 circles revision, I've almost got the hang of it... it will be second nature soon.

Haven't done much work today. There was a family gathering for pretty much the whole day, and I've just finished my hour of work that I left from yesterday.

On the way to my aunty's, I revised some politics in the car which I always struggle with because I get so easily distracted by my surroundings. However it's worthwhile because at least some of it will go in...

Once I got back home I completed my biology work for Tuesday and revised for the circles and binomial expansion test for tomorrow, feeling confident with this one. Ahhh it's been a productive weekend!

THIS IS AN EMERGENCY - I HAVE 100 DAYS LEFT TO PREPARE FOR MY AS EXAMS (yes poo has come out)

School was great our mechanics lesson was cancelled, although I did get soggy walking. Maths was okay, we had a test which I actually really enjoyed - praying for full marks! Then I had to wait for three hours until History, twas boring and I should have just gone home as I had work I could've done. Hey ho I got a nap in the common room and looked at some uni prospectuses. Nottingham looks good.

History was fairly decent, not much to say there. In Germany we were learning about what caused WW2 and in Italy we just did a massive gap fill.

At home I lounged around for a bit because I was quite tired. Managed to finish all my politics homework, do some mechanics work and submit my final EPQ proposal! Productive enough for me to sleep. Thank god it's the last week of term ahahah.

School was great today! Two lessons were cancelled, and although that means more work at home - I really didn't need six lessons today. Double politics was fairly dull, learning about the civil service but it was pretty simple. Mechanics was cancelled. Our first two lessons for biology were okay, finishing up our practical write up in lab books and then we looked at the cardiac cycle. It's engrained in my mind lmao, thanks miss. Twilight was cancelled!!! Praise the lord.

At home I did some maths work and then some politics revision. Both nice and easy stuff, need to finish my maths tomorrow evening though...

Tomorrow looks to be an interesting day, oooooh the suspense!

School was alright. In the morning I was at a special event thing to celebrate the fact that I'm 'overachieving' which is pretty satisfying and I had to sit next to the headteacher and talk, fun times! History was just some research on Mussolini. In politics we did a mock which went okay for the most part, however I ran out of time and didn't finish the conclusion for the 25 marker which is pretty key to getting 20+ marks. However I did conclude at the end of each paragraph, so I should be okay ish.

After school I went to the PwC open evening and it was interesting, got my questions answered and I'm really interested in their 'flying start' programme at either Nottingham or Reading. However it was mortifying because I was late... it was the traffic okay, not my incompetence.

Once home, I finished my maths assignment which was pretty easy and I completed my PwC online tests for the work experience this summer. I scored above average in both numerical and verbal reasoning, with both being "areas of strength"! Pretty chuffed!

Cracking day today!
