Again, only because they had to change the rate at which the UMS was going up by unless they wanted it to be 75 for an A*! It's usually linear unless it's at the very extremities
Fair enough

I've been quite downbeat all day, it was an easy exam and I choked. Should've got an A* but I messed up. Oh well, wasn't meant to be.
Yeah this is how I feel about it
Leave it all behind you and just enjoy your summer!
3. Someone should have nabbed a paper to upload by now..

Hi guys
How does an A* in maths work
Doesn't it include all c1,2,3,4 and stats1,2 or mechanics 1,2??
For far I think I got 90 ums for c3 and c4 and last year I got a UMS of 250 still got s2 left
You need to get 480 ums out of a possible 600 for the entire A-level. You must also have 90 ums in both Core 3 and Core 4. In theory you can get a really low mark in one module and still walk out with an A*.

Good luck- hope this helps.

somehow i got c to be -720. Can anyone explain why i got this
I split the fraction so i had
1/ -5/2x dx = 1 dt
the integrated them both
not sure if i was only meant to divide the x and leave the -5/2
????

No. You need an average of 90% in C3/4. So you can get 85 in one, 95 in the other etc.

You need 480/600 UMS across all 6 A level exams. This can come from any 6, however you MUST also have 90 UMS in both Core 3 and Core 4.

Good luck- hope this has helped.

You're right- my mistake.
9. Has anyone got a list of all the grade boundaries (90 UMS) since 2009?

http://www.mathsgenie.co.uk/resource...boundaries.pdf

This link has what I wan't but doesn't include 90 UMS boundaries.
10. 61/75 C4

64/75 C3

65/75 M1

Would this be more than 238 ums? that's what I need for an A

The fact it was an easy paper just rubs salt into the wounds. Oh well, like you said let's enjoy the summer!
12. Can someone please upload a copy of the paper if you have it.!
13. On the question where you had to intergrate involving partial fractions, I combined my answers and ended up with ---- Ln (k(3y+2)^3/y^2).
Can anyone confirm if this would be correct?

Correct. I wrote the same.

probably thought 4 - 4sin^2theta was the same as costheta
I got lamda =16 and I defiantly did not put that! I took the 4s out of the square root to get 2 and got an 8 on the dx=8sinthetacostheta or something like that

Thanks a lot. Panic over😂

done that too

well 16 is incorrect, you must've made a mistake somewhere

Exactly this!!

((4sin^2(x))/(4-4sin^2(x))^1/2
=(4(sin^2(x))/4(1-sin^2(x)))^1/2
=((sin^2(x))/(1-sin^2(x)))^1/2

As you can see the 4s cancel out, if you were to take them out you would have 2/2 which would also cancel... Sorry but good luck for results day
