Cass - MSc Shipping trade and Finance.

HI Everyone,
My name is Sudsmal, I am new to this site. I am a sailor by profession having a ships' captains license and am sailing as a navigating officer on cruise ships.
I have an unconditional offer for the MSC Shipping trade and Finance at the cass business school. The reason why I am a bit sceptical is because I have no backgroung in finance or accounting. My shipping qualifications are technical and operational. Can anyone advise. Also I am 31 years old and have 12 years work experince on ships. By the time I complete I will be 32.
My aim is finally to quit ships and to work in London with the finance / chartering / broking department of a Shipping firm.
What are your frank opinions...
Thanks

This is a very peculiar question.. Why don't you contact the school's admission s office? They should know the answer.. I can only tell you that this is a very respected department at Cass and well known within the school. Visit www.cass.city.ac.uk and maybe it will say somewhere there, if not just call them up. Good luck

What dyniol said. I doubt there are very many people doing that course on these forums, but as far as I know, Cass is one of the only top business schools offering a course that specialized, and has a long reputation of good shipping courses (explains all the Greek professors )
