To all students, lecturers, science fans & aficionados:
JOIN the London Metropolitan University Life Sciences Society TODAY.
After registering the society, getting our paperwork in order, designing the logo, inviting speakers, and trying not to fail our exams, we're finally ready to get the show on the road!
This year, we will be hosting a series of exciting monthly events, with our first premièring 3rd February (more info below). Speakers lined up this year include prize-winning author and astrobiologist, Lewis Dartnell; Sophie Scott, from the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience; and UCL researcher in Experimental Psychology, Peter Riefer. Sound good? Then SIGN UP and look out for event posters around uni.
Membership costs the tiny sum of £2.50 for the entire year. You can either join at our events, or you can walk into the SU at any time and get your membership there. Benefits of being a member include a flashy membership card (wow), as well as weekly updates to your inbox, rounding up the world of science and plugging other FREE science events. Got any questions? Our first event will take place on Wednesday 3rd of February at 1pm in room TG-30 and will feature Peter Riefer, researcher of Experimental Psychology at UCL's Faculty of Brain Sciences, giving a talk on cognitive consumerism: choice exploration, exploitation and how our decision-making strategies develop over time. We hope to see you there!
