A level Options Watch

    • Thread Starter

Choosing my alevel options and the future plan is to study dentistry, however I wouldn't like to study biology at a levels and was thinking of taking maths instead, meaning my subjects would be chemistry maths and economics, do you reckon I would still be able to get into dentistry with these subjects

In general, science have to go in pairs...so either, phy and chem or chem and bio to pursue something medical like dentistry. that's what the lady told me in an assembly about choosing my A-levels options - science goes in pairs. one science alone can be a bit pointless, unless it's maths with physics.

For most medical schools you need Biology, Chemistry and Maths A level. You NEED Biology and Chemistry they are essential to get into any branch of medicine. You could replace the Maths but really having a Maths A level gives you a upper hand because medical schools are very competitive. I think you should take Physics as a 4th A level because Economics and Dentistry are to no extent related in any way.
