It will vary between different halls- in cities where space is expensive, you're much more likely to have a smaller room.

However, I've lived in halls with single beds, and people have managed just fine when their boyfriends/girlfriends came to stay. It's going to be one or two nights at a time and most people can cope with that.

On the whole beds tend to be single. A few universities offer 3/4 beds or double beds at a premium price, although that is more common in private halls. At my uni everyone managed fine with a single bed- there is just enough space for 2 people to get in.

Mostly single beds in university owned accom. Quite a few private halls offer double beds or 3/4 ones. In terms of people staying over.... you can still have plenty of fun in a single bed, or out of it too It's a bit of a tight squeeze when you are trying to actually sleep but nothing that you can't manage

Correct! Most private halls (including ourselves) allow double occupation in rooms.

We only do it in rooms where we believe there will be enough comfortable space for both of you. So for Fenton House, it would be be our Studios, and potentially larger en suite rooms.
