I think doctordom is too posh for me
Ah, we're honestly not posh once you get here! Besides, you'll be Dr. Shiny before I'm Dr. Helenia

hmm, I don;t actually know what category I fit into.

I'm the first person in my family to go to uni.

My dad left school at 16, and trained as a BT engineer - so, I guess he's 'highly skilled' or something. He eventually became a manager, then had a mid life crisis, left, and now works for a small company.

I consider myself privileged in the sense that my parents always tried to prove everything I needed, and give me the best opportunities they could with their resources - Looking back, I now realise things haven't been easy for them. However, I also realise I am relatively fortunate in comparison to some.

I was incredibly fortunate to be accepted at the only decent local comp. in my area - It was a CoE school, with a fantastic reputation - approx 75% 5A-C (non selective school). Had I not got in there, I would have gone to one with <20% 5A-C. I certainly wouldn't have got the qualifications I have now, and whether I would be at medschool is questionable.
