    I'm 16, i don't know whether i should get a job?

I start volunteering next week in a charity shop for a couple of hours a week. I would only really be able to work one day a week. Should i prioritise getting more volunteer work or a Saturday job? - or both?

It would depend on what you need voluntary experience for! I reckon having a few months voluntary work might make it easier to find a job though as you would be applying with retail experience. It can take a while for job apps to be processed and to actually get started once you've been selected so the charity job gives you something to do in the meantime. Having an income is nice, either for a savings boost or actually having spending money. If you're still studying try make sure to prioritise your time, too many people fall into the trap of working additional hours and feeling obliged to do more when your main focus should be on making the most of your education!
