-A model plane is being flown from point a to point b which is due west of point a. The wind is blowing with velocity (3i-4j)ms^1. At what speed and on what bearing should the plane fly to reach point b in 5

Pick an origin. Draw a diagram. Come up with some algebra.

The plane's resultant velocity vector will the sum of the wind velocity and its velocity relative to the ground. You want this resultant to point due west.
