    Hello!
Welcome to my GCSE journey blog. I am currently in year 11 and i am taking 11 GCSEs in total :
    - English language (CIE)
    - English literature (WJEC)
    - Maths ( Edexcel)
    - Further Maths (AQA)
    - Biology (AQA)
    - Chemistry (AQA)
    - Physics (AQA)
    - History (AQA)
    - French (Edexcel)
    - RE (Edexcel)
    - Media studies (AQA)

I am targeted to get A* in every single subject so i took that goal on and I have been working very hard since the start of year 10. Below I will state my current coursework grades and my previous mock exam grades:
    Coursework
    - English language writing : A
    - English language speaking : A
    - English literature controlled assessment : A
    - Biology ISA : A*
    - Chemistry ISA : A*
    - Physics ISA : A*
    - History controlled assessment : A
    - French controlled assessment : A*
    - Media studies : yet to find out

Coursework highlighted in orange indicates that I will at some point improve my grade.
    Mock exam results
    Year 10 mocks:
    Maths : A*
    Biology: A*
    Chemistry: A*
    Physics: A*
    History : A*
    French: C ( reading) F( listening)
    RE : B

I am terrible at french exams, luckily they are worth only 40% of our final grade but I will continue to practice past papers and expand my vocabulary. I didn't revise for this RE exam so it was a reminder that next time i should ( damn Mark's Gospel)
    Year 11 mocks (November)
    English language : B
    Maths : A*

Anyone who does CIE english knows how specific the mark scheme is, this was a reminder that I need to practice my exam technique
    Year 11 mocks (January)
    English language: A
    English literature : B
    Maths : A*
    Biology : A*
    Chemistry: A*
    Physics : A*
    History : A*
    RE : A
    French : C
    Media studies : B

I revised a lot for these mocks, pretty happy with the outcome as it proved revision does actually work. I found using flash cards very useful. I was able to improve my RE and English grade. I didn't improve my french but i'm not too bothered as my whole class are having to re do their coursework where as i don't !

In the future I will update this blog with my final mock exam grades and coursework grades. I will post pictures of my revision and revision timetable. I will update you on how i'm progressing in lessons and what I'm struggling with (general school stuff). I will also answer questions you have. Good luck to everyone in whatever exams you are doing and wish me luck!!!

I've often seen people with that combination take further maths/biology, any of those interest you? I'd definitely recommend doing what you like most though :yep:

Sorry i haven't posted for a while , been very busy ! Just thought i'd give a quick update about my thoughts and feelings about the exams i've done so far :
I have done my English Language exam and i felt it went okay , i did everything we have been taught and i feel pretty confident as it was only 40% of my grade and written coursework is 47/50 and my speaking exam is 30/30
My Religion and life exam went really well as i had revised and the questions were very easy so i was very happy about that.
Suprisingly i found my French Reading exam easy so i definitely think i've improved in french! I always found the listening difficult but i think i have improved , my coursework is also at an A* so i should have done pretty well
I also had my AQA biology unit 1 exam today and to be honest i found it quite difficult , the only questions i think i did well on were the ones that actually involved scientific knowledge such as decomposition , nerves , natural selection and biomass. I struggled with the questions about addiction and mosquitos. Although me and my friends have similar answers so i shall see what unit 2 and 3 have to bring
