Hey! I just received an offer for a skype interview from Brunel University. I only applied for Oxford Brookes and Brunel but Oxford Brookes is the uni I 100% want to go to and Brunel is more of a "Plan B" thing. I like the university enough but Brookes just seems a better fit for me. I'm almost certain I'll be accepted into Brookes but of course I can't know for sure until I get an offer.

i'm unsure what to do so my 3 questions are:

    a) an interview with a uni I probably won't end up going to seems unnecessary so idk if I should accept. what do you think?

    b) I applied for a combined course of Theatre and Film & Television but the e-mail was specifically only for the Theatre part of it. does that mean I'll automatically get into the Film & Television course alongside it without doing an interview?

    c) does someone who's done a skype interview have any advice? I'm supposed toprepare a 2 minute monologue from a play and talk about my theatre experiences. i'd just like some comments on how hard/easy it was, how the interview went, etc

Do the interview. If you haven't heard back from your other choice yet, you can't afford to be picky. Once you've got your offers, THEN you can shove Brunel away, but until then do what you can to get those two offers back.

The last thing you want is to not do the interview AND not get into Brookes, and end up with no university place in September at all.

I'd imagine the generic degree name in the email includes the combined one you want to do, but give them a buzz if you're not too sure.

Can't help with the Skype interview - as never had one - but good luck to you!

You're right, I think I'll accept the interview offer. And I'll shoot them a message asking about the degree thing, thanks a lot!
