Nope. Dentist or nothing really. Or there's the old bit-of-string-tied-to-doorhandle scenario...

(not really)
Bloody dentists. No idea sorry, but when I had an abcess in my tooth, it helped to use sensodyne toothpaste - took the pain away.

where do you stay if you call the nhs helpline they will tell you where youre nearest emergency dentist is.if you have a dentist and you have called them and told them its an emergency they shouldnt have you wait till july

Phone local dental hospital if you can they will be able to give you an emergency appointment. You cant wait until july, the problem may be fixable at the moment but the longer you leave it the worse it will become.
Don't worry it is hardly likely to kill you  I am sure you can get an emergency appointment.

If it's not loose/rotten/damaged, it's sensitive. Use Sensodyne toothpaste and try to keep your fingers out of your mouth. (Good advice regardless, but especially if you're worried about dental hygiene.)

EDIT: I actually get the same thing in one tooth. If it starts to go purple, it could be due to the nerve dying and blood getting trapped inside it or something like that. But if it still *looks* fine, it's probably what I described above.
