Can't start my Triumph TT600

Hi There, I have just replaced my throttle cable after 6wks of sourcing it. After putting everything back together again I can't get it to ignite. The starter motor sounds fine so either there is no spark or fuel. The fuel cables are quick release and they have been connected correctly, the bike is fuel injection so I wouldn't have thought dead fuel would be the problem. The electrical system wasn't disturbed. I had it off road over the winter for 4mths and it started first time in the spring!

Please, please, please can anybody shed any possible light on this. The kill switch is fine, datatag duo is fine, the clutch was in and the stand up!

Take the spark plugs out, hold them against the engine block with insulated pilers or some other suitable tool and then turn the engine over.

Can you see a spark?

It might just be worth checking that the fuel is ok if it isnt too much hastle to drain it down. Also, when you turn the engine over, you should be able to smell the fuel.

Success! Thank you guys, I checked the spark which was good then drained the carbs and tried again and she fired. Unsure why a fuel injection would have this issue but anyway success! I appreciate your time in replying, thanks for all your assistance. Best Regards 'Here to help'

No problem...but it can't be fuel injection if you have carbs!?

Ive just checked on the net, the TT600 is definately fuel injected. But fuel can go off, so the stuff thats sitting in it for months might not be all that potent afterwards.

True...must just be a float chamber/fuel resevoir then.
