I don't understand how a 9 year old would know about porn?

Well whatever it is complain to his parents and complain to the school just in case his friends are horny rodents.

I must admit I though nearly all 10 year olds had seen porn.

So many of them will have seen it at 9 .

Threatening to publicly humiliate him was such a braindead, pathetic thing to have done.

He's probably just an early bloomer. I don't think you should've scolded him so angrily because he wasn't doing anything malicious - he was likely just curious.

Parental locks are a good idea, and in case he finds a way to disable them, make it your top priority to stress to him that porn =/= real life. In this technological enlightenment period, boys your nephew's age are at risk of developing an ill-informed view of sex. They can end up relying on porn as their primary sex education source, which is potentially damaging if they're not educated by someone else about the basic facts.

Understandably, you might feel awkward about giving him this talk, in which case refer him to someone else you and he trust. Try not to make him out to be a wrongdoer. It's not his fault he's being bombarded with sex in today's media.

    I don't understand the problem.

    Exactly. I don't either.

Well, except that the problem is the overreaction of other people.

Boys want to see naked women.

It's normal. Educate him, don't threaten him.

If you were with sky they automatically block sites till 9:30pm -5:30 am. So he should not be able to go on it before then.

Don't stereotype, I've met some very kind and gentle tentacle monsters.

**** the worlds gone mad this is actually more sad than anything! He's 9 ffs he shouldn't be seeing that ****!

Erm I guess you're gonna have to have serious words with him and explain whilst this stuff might seem like 👀 intriguing to him it's just not appropriate and he should be having his childhood while he can. Say if it carries on you're going to have to have words with his parents and that in the mean time he should be spending time doing things more appropriate to his age like going to the park, playing video games etc not sitting by the computer watching trashy sex like a little creep.

The kid is obviously curious about sex so talk to him about it what it dose and what it's for
Really not the place for an uncle to do that...

All these replies advising the OP to talk to him.

The kid is 9... and OP is his uncle.. it is not his place to be having that conversation with a child that young. The parents should absolutely be involved, if nothing else to protect the OP from any potential misunderstandings.

But surely if you tell the kid not to do something, it'll make them want to do it a whole lot more.

Tbh, if he has started doing it, he won't stop. If you catch him doing it or threaten him, he'll just become super protective and he'll learn to hide things (history) and to be more sneaky.

It is normal IMO and obviously it creates a good feeling so he should be simply told that excessive masturbating can have risks.

The replies in this thread really are completely mental.

You shouldn't be shaming someone for natural biological urges.

Didn't catch him doing the act but i saw the computer's history and he admitted to it, i was completely clueless on what to do, i told him that it was very disgusting etc and that if he does it again I'd tell everyone in the family about it

2 weeks later i check history and he had searched up 'naruto sex' on youtube like wtf

    What should i do

Tell him "bleach hentai" is better. They have bigger boobs.
