I've applied to Henrietta Barnett school for 6th form and apart from the fact that they get good result I don't know much about the school. Can anyone tell me what the 6th form is like? Are they teachers and teaching good and are the pupils friendly? If anyone can tell me anything about it I would appreciate it. Thanks xxx

Have you been to the open evening? You gain a great insight to the college by visiting it, if you've perhaps missed it you could always ring and find out if you can go for a taster day to see whether or not you like it.

Yes I went to the open evening but there wasn't time for a tour due to the number of people seeing the school...

What subjects have you applied for? I'm currently at HBS (although I'm also in Y11) and so can tell you what the teachers are like for your subjects.

My year is notorious for having some nasty people, but I'm hoping that they'll leave and we'll get some new students who are nicer.

I won't lie - it is quite hard. I personally really dislike the school, but I'm probably going to stay because I like the teachers for my subjects and I'll probably get good grades if I stay. I do a lot of stuff outside of school, and that makes it bearable - I only spend 6 hours every day in school after all, and that's what keeps me going. I would say that if you are determined to come here, you need to do things outside of school or you will go crazy.

If you have more questions, PM me.
