Hi everyone, I am in a complete panic here. This morning I noticed some bloody nipple discharge and I am freaking out. I am and 18 year old girl there's literally no history of breast cancer in my family, not even extended family but I am still freaking out as this is obviously not normal. I've looked online and thankfully found that it's most likely benign, but I am still so scared. I am going to make a docs ap on monday, but I'm away from uni and have serious health anxiety so when stuff like this happens I FREAK out. I don't know if it's to do with me obsessively checking myself, I check my whole body every single day it's getting beyond a joke and i always always find something to worry about. To make matters worse I am having an ECG on monday because there may be something wrong with my heart, I am finding it so hard to cope with all these health scares being away from home has anyone had anything similar or can reassure me? Thanks

Just try and relax until you've had your GP appointment as they will hopefully tell you what might be wrong.

ah thank you, I just noticed that the nipple with the discharge is dryer than the other one, I have dry skin but never had this before so I'm freaking out even more now

It's probably an infection or localised inflammation e.g. from eczema/trauma.

GP visit is wise but cancer vanishingly unlikely.
